Kitsap County Fairgrounds Trails

A Kitsap County Property

The fairgrounds is not a traditional walking and hiking resource that most people would think of.

Unnamed rails meander through forested tracts on the west side of the fairgrounds property.  Both areas, on either side of Fairgrounds Rd, are primarily used for disc golf and are rarely crowded.

Combine these trails with a walk or run through other accessible parts of the property.

Fairgrounds Trail Map

The map below shows the unnamed trails within the fairgrounds property.

The Kitsap County Fairgrounds is a huge property and has multiple amenities to draw you in.  A huge playground, tennis courts, soccer field, disc golf course, forested areas, and wide open spaces are all available and easy to access.

On a nice summer afternoon, you may see people at the disc golf courses on either side of Fairgrounds Rd. west of the developed areas. but otherwise the trails meandering through the courses are perfect for hiking.

At times the disc golf course trails fork in multiple directions and you can lose sight of the trail, but just take any path and you will soon be back on a trail.

I prefer to walk through both courses and then exit the trail on the north side Near Boand Arena, continuing through the deserted grounds around Kitsap Sun Pavillion and between the dense collection of fair buildings closer to the soccer field.

You will see people pushing a stroller, riding bikes, and walking dogs through these areas, but it never gets crowded unless an event is taking place.
